I am an Assistant Professor of Teacher Education at Troy University, where I teach STEM and mathematics methods courses to prospective early childhood and elementary education teachers.
As a 2025 Texas State University graduate (PhD in Mathematics Education), I have spent the last 5 years studying how math apps and EdTech affect elementary students and teachers. My work does not stop with publications! This year (2026), my cold emails led to a screen time bill introduced in the Alabama legislature and a governor’s executive order.
Most recently, I wrote a book, Digital Learners in Elementary Mathematics, which encapsulates a year of research on math apps in a third-grade classroom. I hope you enjoy it! You can preorder the book here.
